Design Thinking & Bloxels
INTRODUCTION:
In this unit, we will recall the process of design thinking from our 6th grade Gamestar Mechanic unit, and build upon some of what you learned in Design & Modeling this year. Design thinking starts by gaining empathy for potential product users. To create an effective product, we must put ourselves in the shoes of the users to identify the scope of the challenge.
Bloxels allows you to create your own platformer video games using physical blocks, a Bloxels board, and the Bloxels app. You can create game layouts, pixel art, animations, backgrounds and your own character. You create everything on the Bloxels board and then bring it into the app by taking a picture with the iPad camera.
